![]() We both had the ham and cheese with jalapeño jelly on jalapeño and cheese bread. When we left an hour later, they were out of the turkey, but had added a meatball gyro that looked so good in its handmade crust. My daughter and I got there at 12: 30 and they were out of one of that day’s specials: the beef brisket sandwich. Instead, head for Patina Green, where everything is made fresh and the menu changes daily. When visiting McKinney, some of the old-timers might tell you to go to a couple of the old-time restaurants. I would definitely return here again for lunch to order the soup! Lots of wood everywhere! It was a very cozy yet elegant look. The soup that my friend got however was amazing! So creamy and so flavorful! I had orders remorse after I tasted her soup! The people that work here are very sweet and happy to talk to you about any of the items they sell in the store (food, furniture, soaps, etc). If I’d know that I would have asked to leave them off. The menu didn’t state there onions were included. I don’t care for onions nor do I like the pickled flavoring. The chicken amount was very small and it came topped with pickled onions. Not something I’d really want to order again. I went ahead and ordered the chicken salad sandwich ($ 7. A little upsetting because there were a few other sandwiches I would have preferred to have. They have gluten free bread but they only allow you to order chicken salad or egg salad with it. They’re pretty much a sandwich and soup type place. This is such a cute restaurant! There isn’t a lot of room to move around so prepare to bump shoulders with people. ![]() I don’t know about the rest of the store, but food and service alone is enough to never make me want to come here ever again. 00 grilled cheese my mother had that tasted nothing special. 50 for the Ham sandwich with jalapeño peach jelly, is a bit much considering it’s just the sandwich and nothing else, which if you’re like me you might feel it just tastes like spicy butter pickles and wonder how simple it would be to make it at home, this applies even more to the $ 5. Overall, overpriced, horrible service, mediocre food, I’d rather anyone planning to eat here for a try to eat somewhere great like Urban Crust or Spoon’s, those places are really nice and treat you far better. They didn’t greet us at all and often gave us scowling looks. The chips were decent (Buffalo blue cheese), the Cheddar was ultra bland though, and the service was awful. The cookies were way too sweet and didn’t taste like chocolate chip at all. The sandwiches didn’t taste different from any other place and were far more greasy than even a fast food restaurant like Raising Cane’s, also it was more like something you could easily make at home.
